Billing & refund policy
Effective July 3, 2026
Our billing principle is simple: nothing charges you without a fresh, deliberate purchase. Licenses and renewals are one-time payments; the only recurring product is Priority Support, and you can cancel it yourself.
Licenses never auto-renew
SourceVault Starter, Pro, and Team are one-time purchases. Your license key is perpetual — the version you install keeps working forever, whether or not you ever pay us again.
Each purchase includes 12 months of updates: your key unlocks every SourceVault release published during that year, permanently. After the year, your installed version keeps working; upgrading to newer releases requires a renewal (Starter $550, Pro $1,550 — a substantial discount off list). Renewing is always your choice — we never charge you automatically, and not renewing is a fully supported way to use SourceVault.
Upgrading your plan
Starting small is safe. If you're on Starter and later want Pro features (Multi-repo Ask, up to 15 repositories), upgrade at any time for the difference in list prices — you never pay for the same tier twice. Email support@sourcevault.ai from your billing address; we'll invoice the difference, and your new Pro key (with a fresh 12-month updates window) arrives by email once it's paid.
14-day money-back guarantee
Not the right fit? Any license purchase (new or renewal) can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase — email support@sourcevault.ai from your billing address and we'll process it, no questions asked. The free 7-day trial is there so you can evaluate before buying at all.
Priority Support subscription
Priority Support ($195/month) is our only recurring product. You can cancel it yourself at any time from the billing portal: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep support through the month you've paid for, and you're never charged again. We don't prorate partial months.
Managing your billing
Use the customer billing portal to view invoices, update your payment method, or cancel Priority Support. Log in with your billing email — Stripe sends you a secure sign-in link.
Lost your license key? Recover it any time using your billing email.
Team plans
Team licenses are sales-led: pricing, machine count, and terms are set per agreement and written into your invoice. The same perpetual-license model, 12-month updates window, and 14-day refund window apply unless your agreement says otherwise.
